Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama offered to meet protesters at a time and place they chose, but demonstrators in Tirana smashed chairs he had placed as a symbolic invitation to dialogue on October 20, India Global Review reported.
The chairs carried placards reading “Dialog”. Rama described his offer of talks as being without preconditions, while also saying that people involved in violence—or unwilling to disassociate themselves from it—would not be welcome.
