U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio joked about the U.S. embassy’s busy celebration schedule during an event in Mumbai, according to India Global Review’s October 20 report.
Recalling a party hosted by U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor for America’s 250th anniversary, Rubio quipped that organising parties was beginning to look like the embassy’s main occupation. The outlet described the remark as a joke, rather than a substantive assessment of the mission’s work.
