Rwanda Critic Robert Kabera Found Beheaded in Uganda: Report
Former Rwandan soldier and YouTuber Robert Kabera was reportedly found beheaded in Uganda. He had recently expressed fears for his safety; responsibility for his killing and its motive remain unestablished.

Robert Kabera, a former Rwandan army sergeant major who became a YouTube critic of President Paul Kagame, has been found beheaded in neighbouring Uganda, India Global Review reported on October 22. The account does not establish who killed him or why.
Kabera fled Rwanda in 2020 and went on to attract more than 140,000 subscribers to his channel. Days before his death, he posted a video saying he feared for his life, according to the report.
His killing raises concerns about the safety of Rwandan dissidents abroad. However, his criticism of Kagame and his warning about his safety do not, by themselves, establish that he was killed for speaking out or that Rwanda’s leadership was involved.
