Thick haze kept Singapore’s air at unhealthy levels on Saturday, October 17, as Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto agreed to accept help from neighbouring countries to fight forest fires, India Global Review reported.
The outlet described the fires as Indonesia’s worst in more than a decade, reporting respiratory problems, school disruptions and heavy haze spreading across parts of Southeast Asia. Residents in Singapore continued their daily activities despite the poor air conditions.
