తెలుగు అనువాదం సిద్ధమవుతోంది… (మొదటిసారి కొద్దిగా సమయం పట్టవచ్చు)
Transrail Lighting shares rose 8.87% to Rs 490.60 during trading on Wednesday, October 21, after the company announced new orders worth Rs 927 crore, Economic Times Markets reported, citing its exchange filing. The contracts were concentrated in India’s power transmission and distribution business.
The latest wins brought the company’s order intake for the current financial year to Rs 3,356 crore. These figures represent orders secured, rather than revenue earned or payments received. The quoted share price is a source-reported trading snapshot, not a closing price or live market feed.
Domestic transmission projects lead the wins
The new work mainly covers engineering, procurement and construction contracts for 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines in India. The package also includes conductor supply orders for the US market.
Transrail has announced orders exceeding Rs 2,300 crore over the past three weeks. The latest contracts place domestic transmission infrastructure at the centre of that order momentum, alongside overseas equipment supply.
Managing Director and CEO Randeep Narang attributed the inflows to the company’s increasing scale and competitive position in power transmission and distribution. He identified its own tower and conductor manufacturing facilities, domestic footprint and expanding international operations as supports for its growth strategy.
Share-price recovery contrasts with lower foreign holdings
The stock has gained about 18% over the past month. Its reported market capitalisation was approximately Rs 6,051 crore, and its 52-week high was Rs 758 a share.
Despite the recent rise, Trendlyne data cited in the report showed the stock below seven of its eight simple moving averages. Its 14-day Relative Strength Index was 46.5—between the commonly used thresholds of below 30 for oversold conditions and above 70 for overbought conditions.
The September 2026 quarter shareholding pattern showed foreign institutional investors holding 1.85%, down from 2.49% in the preceding quarter. Mutual funds’ stake remained at 0.08%. Those quarterly ownership figures cover a different period from Wednesday’s price move and do not establish how institutions traded after the latest order announcement.
