Q2FY27: expenses grow faster than revenue
Consolidated net profit reached Rs 173.27 crore.
EBITDA reached Rs 340 crore.
Revenue from operations reached Rs 2,109.65 crore.
Total expenses reached Rs 1,890.2 crore.
Gas volumes rise as distribution network expands
Combined compressed natural gas (CNG) and piped natural gas (PNG) volumes reached 315 million standard cubic metres during the quarter, up 12% from a year earlier.
The company added 16 CNG stations, bringing its network to 723. It also added 39,574 PNG home connections to reach 11.81 lakh, while industrial and commercial connections increased by 442 to 10,864. Its steel pipeline network expanded by 318 inch-km to 16,305 inch-km.
The broader network, including joint venture Indian Oil-Adani Gas Private Limited, recorded combined gas volumes of 529 million standard cubic metres, an 18% annual increase. This joint-venture-inclusive footprint comprised 1,185 CNG stations after 18 additions, more than 14.31 lakh PNG home connections and 12,925 industrial and commercial connections. Its cumulative steel pipeline network reached 29,156 inch-km.
Management cites pressure on gas procurement costs
Chief executive Sanjay Pandita attributed the difficult operating conditions to the continuing West Asia crisis, elevated Brent crude and spot gas prices, currency depreciation and lower gas allocation under the administered pricing mechanism.
According to Pandita, the company used a combination of long-term supply contracts, flexible market purchases and pricing adjustments to manage cost pressures and maintain reliable supplies. He said disciplined capital allocation, volume growth, operational improvements and digital capabilities remained priorities across the gas, e-mobility and biomass businesses.
Charging footprint grows; biomass sales reported for first half
Adani TotalEnergies E-mobility had 5,513 installed EV charging points across 26 states and Union Territories and 225 cities. Of these, 4,809 were operational. Installed capacity stood at approximately 63 MW; the installed-point count therefore should not be read as the number already available for use.
Adani TotalEnergies Biomass sold 460 tonnes of compressed biogas in the first half of FY27, including 195 tonnes through dedicated CBG stations and the balance to third parties. These are half-year figures, rather than sales for the second quarter alone.
Organic manure sales exceeded 6,865 tonnes over the same half-year period, including more than 1,757 tonnes under the Harit Amrit brand. The company also reported that its NSE Sustainability score rose to 75 and its Stakeholders Empowerment Services score improved to 75 out of 100.
Pandita to take additional executive director role
Separately, the company announced Pandita’s appointment as an additional director and whole-time director, designated executive director, effective November 1, 2026. The three-year appointment is subject to shareholder approval, and he will hold the combined designation of executive director and chief executive officer.
Suresh P. Manglani will retire as executive director and key managerial personnel upon superannuation at the close of business on October 31.
The report put the stock’s October 22 NSE closing price at Rs 555.50, down 0.70% from Rs 559.40 in the previous session. It reported a year-to-date decline of 6.50% and market capitalisation of Rs 60,803 crore.
