Where the issue proceeds go

Jio Platforms

Entirely fresh issue

The reported Rs 30,213 crore offering has no shareholder-sale component; up to Rs 27,500 crore of net proceeds is earmarked for subsidiary debt repayment.

Paras Healthcare

Fresh shares plus shareholder sales

The reported Rs 1,450 crore issue comprises Rs 500 crore in fresh capital and Rs 950 crore in sales by existing shareholders.

Jio’s fresh issue targets subsidiary debt

Jio Platforms’ reported price band is Rs 1,065–1,119 a share, with a minimum bid of 12 shares. At the upper end, one retail lot would cost Rs 13,428. The anchor investor book is scheduled to open on October 19.

The offering comprises 27 crore newly issued shares and no offer-for-sale component. Proceeds would therefore go to the company rather than selling shareholders. Existing investors, including Reliance Industries, Meta and Google, are not selling shares through the issue.

Jio plans to put up to Rs 27,500 crore of net proceeds towards repayment or prepayment of borrowings at Reliance Jio Infocomm. The report attributed to Akash Ambani, identified as Jio Platforms’ managing director, the view that this would help the business move towards a net debt-free position.

At the upper offer price, Jio Platforms would seek a valuation of about Rs 10.3 lakh crore. The report described the proposed offering as larger than Hyundai Motor India’s Rs 27,900 crore IPO in 2024 and potentially India’s biggest public issue.

Reservations include up to Rs 2,500 crore for eligible Reliance Industries shareholders and Rs 500 crore for Jio employees. Eligible employees would receive a Rs 54-per-share discount. Allotment is expected on October 26, with a tentative listing on October 28.

Telecom scale and growth plans

The report put Jio’s customer base at more than 530 million and its FY26 profit at Rs 30,049 crore. Beyond mobile connectivity, it identified home broadband, enterprise services, cloud computing and artificial intelligence as areas the company is pursuing for growth.

It also cited an unofficial grey-market premium of Rs 220 a share, roughly 20% above the upper offer price. Such off-exchange indications are not an assured listing price or a guarantee of returns.

Paras combines fresh capital with shareholder sales

Paras Healthcare’s price band is reported at Rs 660–693 a share. Investors can bid for at least 21 shares and in multiples of that lot, making the minimum retail commitment Rs 14,553 at the upper price.

Unlike Jio’s entirely fresh issue, Paras’ Rs 1,450 crore offering consists of Rs 500 crore in fresh shares and Rs 950 crore in sales by existing shareholders. The latter component would not provide new capital to the hospital operator. The upper price implies a market capitalisation of approximately Rs 7,498 crore.

Paras operated eight hospitals with 2,211 beds as of June 30, 2026, across Gurugram, Panchkula, Patna, Darbhanga, Kanpur, Udaipur, Ranchi and Srinagar. Its planned additions—a 300-bed hospital in Gurugram and a 500-bed facility in Ludhiana—would take capacity to 3,011 beds by March 2028.

The company reportedly earned Rs 43.83 crore in FY26, reversing a Rs 57.98 crore loss in FY25. Total income rose to Rs 1,628.78 crore from Rs 1,314.21 crore over the same period.

Paras’ allotment is expected on October 26 and its listing is tentatively scheduled for October 28. JM Financial is the issue’s book-running lead manager.

Nine debuts across three trading days

On the mainboard, HD Fire Protect is scheduled to list on October 21 and Fusion CX on October 22. Tonbo Imaging India, Zetwerk Manufacturing Business, Bonfiglioli Transmissions and Sahajanand Medical Technologies are scheduled for October 23.

Subscriptions for those four October 23 mainboard debutants are due to close on Monday, October 19.

The SME calendar has Vaibhav Vyapaar scheduled for October 21, Ravita Engineering Services for October 22 and Shellz India for October 23. Shellz India’s subscription window is also due to close on October 19.
