Trump Reportedly Weighs ‘Mother of All Bombs’ for Iran

Donald Trump is reportedly weighing the use of the US non-nuclear weapon known as the ‘Mother of All Bombs’ against Iran, according to an India Global Review programme summary citing CNN. The summary does not establish that a decision has been taken or that any deployment has occurred.

The summary describes the weapon as weighing more than nine tonnes and says it has been used once before. It provides no proposed target, operational timetable or explanation of the military objective.

The full underlying report was unavailable for review. The suggestion that the weapon could secure a US victory is a question posed by the programme, not an outcome supported by the information supplied.
